Uno, the inaugural series of the In Alto project, was introduced in 2014 to establish new aesthetic and quality standards for fine dining offerings from Bormioli Rocco. Key features of Uno include brightness achieved through the use of Star Glass, stem resistance enhanced by XLT treatment, lightness resulting from improved glass distribution, and stability thanks to the redesigned base of the stem glasses. Designed by Aldo Cibic, the collection showcases essential and sophisticated shapes that have quickly become synonymous with elegance.

The flat foot and base of Uno provide maximum stability on the table and ensure perfect drying without the buildup of lime sediments or impurities. Additionally, the reduced thickness of the products results in fine finishes with thin rims. Uno uses lead-free crystal glass known for its purity and the clarity it brings to the products. Star Glass, which does not alter the color, smell, or taste of the wine, is expertly molded to create exquisite and recyclable pieces.

The XLT treatment applied to the stemware surface guarantees resistance to common causes of breakage such as washing and twisting. This treatment protects the stem from abrasion and maintains its durability over time. Uno was developed in partnership with the Italian Sommelier Association (AIS) to ensure that the design meets the needs and standards of wine professionals.
